Hey everyone! Can you believe that it’s already March?! Crazy! I’m hoping my March will be just as successful in terms of books finished as my February was.
I finished 13 (!) books in February and most of them were pretty good! I read:
Slayer by Kiersten White – 4/5 Stars – I’ve never actually been a Buffy person, BUT I’ve always wanted to be a Buffy person, so I was super excited to read Slayer. The beginning was a little hard to get in to, but once I was in the real plot of the story, I really liked it and tore through it.
Dark of the West by Joanna Hathaway – 3.5/5 Stars – I wrote a review for this one here, so if you want more details about this book, go check it out! I thought Dark of the West was interesting, but I’m not sure it’s the right book for me.
Echo North by Joanna Ruth Meyer – 4/5 Stars – I really liked how Echo North started and like the first 3/4 of the book were great, but the last 25% seemed a little drawn out and it didn’t really take the story where I thought it was going. That doesn’t mean that I’m saying it was a bad book, it just took a turn that made it seem a little longer than it actually had to be.
Roar by Cora Carmack – 5/5 Stars – Roar was definitely my favorite book of the month, and honestly probably my favorite book of the year so far. It was so good and just what I was looking for in a cute, fun YA Fantasy with a really cool world and magic system. If y’all haven’t read this one yet, I’d definitely say read it soon!
The Heartbreaker Bay books by Jill Shalvis – The Trouble with Mistletoe – 4/5 Stars, Playing for Keeps – 4/5 Stars, Accidentally on Purpose – 5/5 Stars, Hot Winter Nights – 5/5 Stars, About that Kiss – 5/5 Stars – I am so obsessed with these books. I love the Cow Hollow gang- all of the characters are so relatable and the stories are so cute and just like perfect/exactly what I want when I’m looking for a fun, easy romance novel.
Best of my Love by Susan Mallery – 4/5 stars – I loved the Fool’s Gold books, so I was really sad when I realized that this was the last Fool’s Gold book. Shelby and Aiden’s story was super cute, and it was a great way to end this series. Another fun, easy, happy romance novel!
Evermore by Sara Holland – 4/5 Stars – Everless was such a great book, so I was really excited to read Evermore. While Evermore was a good book, I did not see it going the way it did and, at the beginning at least, I was a little meh about it. But it definitely got better the more I read and I’m so happy with the way the book ended.
The Winter of the Witch by Katherine Arden – 4.5/5 Stars – I love this trilogy! Russian folklore/history are so interesting to me, and I think the Winter of the Witch was the perfect way to end Vaysa’s story. If y’all haven’t picked up these books yet, you’re definitely missing out!
Sea Witch by Sarah Henning – 3/5 stars – You know how sometimes you’re really, really looking forward to a book and then you start reading it and it’s just disappointing? That’s how I felt about Sea Witch.
So now that we’ve gone through what I read in February, let’s talk about what I think I’m going to read/finish in March.
Wicked Saints – I’m actually almost done with this one, so I HAVE to finish it this month.
King of Fools – I got approved for this one on NetGalley, so definitely want to get through it this month.
Storm and Fury – This is another NetGalley book to finish this month.
Dark Shores – This is NetGalley book number 3 that needs to get done this month.
These Rebel Waves – I’m planning on listening to the audio book of this one this month.
We Hunt the Flame – I have an ARC of this that I started reading in February, so let’s see if I can finish it this month.
Enchantee – I have a copy of this book from the library, and I can’t renew it, so I have to read it before the 7th.
We Rule the Night – I got this one from Novl as a part of their booksquad, so I need to get to it soon.
I also have a few books on hold at the library that I should get this month, so I might need to get to those too haha have y’all made your March TBRs? What all are you reading this month?
