Can y’all believe that it’s already April??? My allergies can for sure! For those of you who don’t follow me on Instagram, I got tested for my allergies last week and I’m super allergic to all kinds of dust/dust mites and cats and I’m pretty allergic to lots of trees, weeds, and molds, so, you know, allergies all year round! My tree allergies are really bad in the spring, so that’s what’s going on for me outside the book world.
Let’s talk about the books I read this month! Overall. March was a little slow for me reading wise- there were a lot of other things going on in my life this month (Harry Potter world! Getting Sick! Getting an updated role at work! College Basketball), so reading was not always as prioritized as it normally is. I was able to finish 7 books this month:
Enchantée– This one was my biggest disappointment of the year, which makes me super sad. I was really bored throughout most of the book, so I ended up skipping close to 200 pages in the middle so I could finish it
Sweet Little Lies– I’m still a sucker for Romance novels (and this series in general) so I loved Pru and Finn’s story that started it all off!
The Everlasting Rose– This was another disappointment- I really liked book one, but book two just fell flat. I should be having a review out for this one soon!
These Rebel Waves– I liked this one more than I expected to. I listened to the audiobook of this, and I think that’s what made me like it more than some people liked it. I thought Ben’s story was a little annoying and unnecessary and I was always really looking forward to hearing about Vex and Lu- but the closer we got to the end, the better the three points of view were and ugh that ending killed me! I can’t wait for book 2! Be on the lookout for a real review sometime soon!
We Rule the Night – I read an ARC of this one (woop woop thanks to the NOVL for letting me be on their Book Squad for this!). I should be getting a review up in the next few days or so!
The Queen’s Resistance- I’m listening to this one as an audiobook right now and it’s SO GOOD. I love Cartier/Aodhan Morgane’s POV so I’m really glad we get it in this book! Hopefully, I’ll finish it in the first half of the month.
Bloodleaf- I’m currently reading this one and it’s super interesting! I should (hopefully) be done with this one by April 1st or 2nd, so it’s kind of in between my March and April TBRs haha
Deathcaster- I love all of these books so much, so I cannot wait to get to Deathcaster. It’s going to be my next read after Bloodleaf.
Ash Princess- I’ve been meaning to read Ash Princess for AGES so I’m FINALLY going to make it happen in April.
We Hunt the Flame- I started this one back in February, but I had to hit pause due to library books and other ARCs being released earlier, so I should definitely be finishing and reviewing We Hunt the Flame in April.
Dark Shores- I have a copy of Dark Shores from NetGalley, so I have to finish it in April and get a review out about a week or so before it comes out.
These are all of the books that I’m currently planning on reading during April, but who knows where the month will take me and what else will get added to my list! I definitely have A LOT of backlist books I need to get to (like Six of Crows) so maybe this’ll be the month that I do that. What are y’all planning on reading in April?
