November Wrap Up

OMG y’all, I think I did pretty well in terms of sticking to my TBR this month- I mean I wasn’t amazing at it- I wanted to read 15 books in November and I only read 14 and I didn’t read 6 of the books on my TBR, but I DNFed one of the 6, so I know I’m never going to read that one, so that’s not a big deal, I ended up getting more ARCs read, and I definitely didn’t finish my Ember reread like I had wanted to (nor did I read all of my library books… oops)

Here’s everything I read in November:

Kissing Lessons by Stefanie London- I really liked this ARC and this was one I had definitely planned on reading in November. Check out my review of it here.

Fatal Deception by April Hunt- Another book I enjoyed and had planned on reading in November! So far so good! Here’s my review for this one.

The Camelot Betrayal by Kiersten White- Another great read that I had 100% planned! I loved book 1 and book 2 was even better- now I can’t wait to read book 3 when it comes out! Check out my review.

The Mistletoe Trap by Cindi Madsen- All of these seem to be planned so far (and they all were so good!)- I really liked the holiday theme of this one and how cute it was and ahhhh check out my review here.

Heart of Flames by Nicki Pau Preto- Ah, my first non-ARC of the month was not the first one I had planned on reading, but it was on my list and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I’m super excited for book three now!

The Bright and Breaking Sea by Chloe Neill- This ARC was probably one of the most surprising ones that was on my list this month. I had planned to read it, but I wasn’t sure whether I would enjoy it or not. Well, I was pleasantly surprised to have really, really liked it, a lot! I cannot wait to read more from the world! Read my review here.

An Ember in the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir- Ah yes, the only book I read in my Ember reread this month. Man, it was so good and I had completely forgotten how much I enjoyed these books! I really need to read Torch and Reaper in early December so I can read Sky since I’ll be getting it in today!

Pretending by Holly Bourne- This book was one I wasn’t planning on, but then I was invited to be a part of the blog tour for it after November started, and it was interested for sure. I enjoyed the book, but it was definitely heavier than I had anticipated. Read my review here.

Happily this Christmas by Susan Mallery- I love the Happily Inc books, so when I was invited to be a part of the Harlequin Holiday blog tour, I was the most excited to read this one! My review will be posted on December 3, and spoiler alert, I loved Wynn’s story so much!

Set Fire to the Gods by Sara Raasch and Kristen Simmons- I wasn’t planning on reading Set Fire to the Gods this month, but when I saw that it was available as an audiobook on Scribd, I decided to listen to it. I’ve been knitting scarves for family members as their Christmas presents and I love knitting while listening to an audiobook, so this was the perfect knitting companion! I loved magical gladiators fighting for their gods and I love Sara Raasch and Kristen Simmons, so I can’t wait to see where book 2 will take us.

Write Before Christmas by Julie Hammerle- This book was a planned ARC for me for this month and it was fine- like it was cute and short and easy, but looking back at everything else I’ve read this month, it wasn’t my favorite book for sure, but definitely a good option for anyone who’s looking to read something fun and holiday themed! Check out my review here.

All These Monsters by Amy Tintera- I had been wanting to read this one since I read about it on Amy Tintera’s either Twitter or Instagram and it definitely didn’t disappoint! It was such a great book and I cannot wait to read All These Warriors!

A Royal Disaster by Jennifer Bonds- Royal romances are super cute (I’ve always been a huge fan of The Princess Diaries and of course I read all the books), so even though A Royal Disaster wasn’t on my original November TBR, I was super excited to read it and I thought A Royal Disaster was adorable. I can’t wait to see what kind of things Prince Liam’s siblings get into in the other books in the series when they come out. Read my review here.

Kingdom of the Wicked by Keri Maniscalco- Kingdom of the Wicked definitely wasn’t on my November TBR, but my library purchased an ebook copy of it and since I was the first person to have recommended that they do that, it was auto checked out to me as soon as they got it, so of course I had to read it! I finished it yesterday and I definitely enjoyed it. I’m super intrigued to see where book two takes us!

The book I DNF’ed in November was Beach Read- I had checked it out from the library and I had to return it to the library, so I started reading it, and 50 pages in, I still wasn’t into it and I didn’t like the characters, so I decided no need to waste my time when I have so many other amazing books to read.

Stay tuned for tomorrow when I tell y’all what I’m planning on reading in December!
