October Wrap Up

Happy November y’all! October was such a busy month, but I still felt like I read a good number of great books that I can’t wait to go over with y’all! Besides books, this month I cooked a lot, Laddoo (the pup) had to go to the vet and get on new itching/anti-allergy meds, and my brother and sister-in-law had a giant baby shower. My baby nephew is going to be born in January something (his due date is the day before my birthday!) so we’re super excited! Now, onto the books.

In October, I read:

  1. Vespertine: I was on a blog tour for Vespertine and this was by far my favorite Margaret Rogerson book! It was soooo good!
  2. When Night Breaks: OMG this was such an amazing book! I’m obsessed with this duology!
  3. Luminous: Luminous was interesting- like I really wanted to like it, but it felt like a little bit of an unfinished idea.
  4. A Spindle Splintered: A Spindle Splintered was a good book and I’m excited to read the other fairy tale retellings that Alix E Harrow writes.
  5. Wings of Shadow: This was such a great ending to this trilogy. I listened to the audiobooks for this entire series and I really enjoyed all of them!
  6. The Keeper of Night: This was such an interesting book and I cannot wait to read book two- y’all definitely don’t want to miss this one!
  7. Grace and Glory: This was such a great ending to a really fun trilogy. I really enjoy these books (and Trinity and Zayne) and I really liked the way this ended.
  8. The Hawthorne Legacy: I was obsessed with The Inheritance Games so I was so excited to read The Hawthorne Legacy! I love Avery and Jameson and Greyson and I cannot wait to see where things go in The Final Gambit!
  9. The Light at the Bottom of the World: I was on a blog tour for Journey to the Heart of the Abyss, so the publisher was kind enough to send me one of the new paperback copies of The Light at the Bottom of the World and this book had been on my list for a very long time, so I’m really glad I was finally able to read it!
  10. Journey to the Heart of the Abyss: I was on a blog tour for this book and so the publisher kindly sent me a physical ARC for Journey to the Heart of the Abyss and I loved this book. It was such a great way to end this duology and I really loved the world that London Shah built in these books!
  11. All these Bodies: All these Bodies was such an interesting book- it wasn’t what I expected at all, but I’m really glad I listened to the audiobook for it, because I don’t know if I would have enjoyed the book book as much as I enjoyed the audiobook.
  12. Maybe We Should: This was such a cute book and I squeaked it in right before it became November (I finished the book at like 11:30pm on Halloween), so definitely my last read of the month, and what a great read it was!

And now, on to November and even more reading! Let me know if y’all read any of my reads for October and what you read in October/what you plan on reading in November!

    • I really liked the cover haha but in terms of content within the book, I liked Sorcery of Thorns a lot too, but I thought there were parts within the book that moved a little slower than I wanted, whereas in Vespertine, I didn’t feel that way at all- I highly suggest checking it out!
