Happy Tuesday y’all! I 100% thought I had already reviewed this one, but I guess that’s what happens when I read too many books in a short span of time. Anyway, Shadow of Light came out on November 30th and is the sequel to Ember of Night and if you’ve read Ember of Night, I think you’ll enjoy where Shadow of Light took things! As always, thank you so much to Entangled Teen and Netgalley for letting me read an eARC of this book!
Man, I can’t believe that we’re already in December and this year is almost over! OMG! I’ll do a full year wrap up either at the end of December or at the beginning of January, but man, thinking back over the whole year is going to be super fun.
Happy Wednesday y’all! Fifteen billion amazing books came out yesterday (Finding Paradise being one of them) and instead of picking one to yell about and review, I got trapped in the indecision, and posted… nothing. Haha today, I made a decisive decision to write a review for Finding Paradise, but be ready for a whole lot of amazing contemporary romances, rom coms, and just all in all cute books to be reviewed in the next couple of weeks! (I might break them up with some fun YA fantasy/sci fi, but we’ll see what I end up reading in the next couple of weeks- I’ve read 2 more romances to review after this one, I started one YA fantasy, and I have like 8 more romances on my list, so we’ll see what happens). As usual, thank you so much to Berkley and Netgalley for letting me read an eARC of this book!
Happy Saturday y’all! I read my first Christmas book of the year (Duke, Actually), and y’all it was so cute! Thank you so much to Avon and Netgalley for letting me read an eARC of it! This book came out on November 16, so make sure you go grab it as soon as you’ve read my review!
Happy Thursday y’all! I hope everyone’s doing well! I’m taking a much needed day off- no apple picking though because the weather’s gross, but I’m going to be running a bunch of errands and relaxing, so I think that’s worth it for sure.
Thank you so much to Tor and Netgalley for letting me read an eARC of A Spindle Splintered! I’ve heard such great things about Alix Harrow’s books, so I was super excited to read this one. I didn’t realize how short it was until I started reading it (I think it’s only about like 130 or so pages), but I didn’t feel like it was short while the story was being told, so that was amazing! A Spindle Splintered came out on October 5th (along with like a bazillion other incredible books), so make sure you go out and grab it after you read my review!
Happy Wednesday y’all! It’s super cloudy here today and I was supposed to go apple picking tomorrow, but it’s supposed to storm in the mountains where the orchard I always go to is, so it’s looking like I’m going to have to skip the apple picking and grab them from a farm stand or the grocery store.
So many books came out yesterday, so I have a review for another one of them ready to go for y’all today. I really enjoyed the other books I read by Mara Rutherford, so I was very excited to give Luminous a go! Thank you so much to Inkyard Press and Netgalley for letting me read an eARC of this book.
You know how sometimes you read a book that’s just so incredibly amazing and then you kind of don’t know what to do with yourself afterwards? I felt that way when I read Where Dreams Descend last year and it happened again when I finished When Night Breaks. Thank you so much to Wednesday books and Netgalley for letting me read an eARC of this book! Make sure y’all go out and grab this one tomorrow (and if you haven’t read Where Dreams Descend yet, make sure you grab that one first since it’s the first book in the duology and you’ll 100% be lost without it).
Happy Tuesday y’all! Today is a huge release day (so many great books are coming out today!) and one of those great books is When Sparks Fly by Helena Hunting. Thank you so much to St. Martin’s Griffin and Netgalley for letting me read an eARC of this book! I’ve read two other books by Helena Hunting- Meet Cute and Kiss My Cupcake– and I really liked both of them, so I was super excited to read When Sparks Fly, and it didn’t disappoint!
Happy Tuesday y’all! Tuesdays are always hard days in my house because the landscapers come our house plus 2-3 of the houses around us and while my dog doesn’t mind personal lawnmowers, as soon as you get an industrial strength lawnmower out there, he thinks something is attacking his house, so he starts going nuts. I’ve tried training him, but he doesn’t even want food, and he’s a very food motivated dog, so today, we decided to go on a 2.2 mile loop of the neighborhood when the lawnmowers were here (since my meeting schedule was super light) and now he’s passed out, so I think it was a great decision!
Thank you so much to Sourcebooks Casablanca and Netgalley for letting me read an eARC of Uncharted. This book came out on August 31st (oof, finally starting to catch up on eARC reviews over here!), so definitely go grab it as soon as you read my review!
Thank you so much to Atria Books and Netgalley for letting me read an eARC of The Inheritance of Orquídea Divina! I wasn’t sure what I was going to think about this book, because some of the reviews said that it was going to be literary fantasy or magical realism and I normally have a hard time getting fully sucked into those kinds of books (100% a me issue, not a those books issue) but I didn’t have that problem with this one at all!
