Man y’all, I’ve been so bad about wrap-ups and TBRs, which makes me kind of sad, because I generally love wrap-ups and TBRs! Hopefully by doing a wrap-up for the summer (June, July, and August) now, I’ll get back on track and maybe I’ll post a TBR soon too… Besides books, this summer was full of trying new recipes- my mom’s birthday was in July so I made this dark chocolate buttermilk cake with an espresso swiss meringue buttercream that was so good (and so fun to make) for that! I also went to a bunch of great workout classes and prepped for my gym to expand to a second location! We also had a mini family reunion at my aunt and uncle’s house in Northern Virginia and of course, I worked A TON. So all in all, a pretty successful summer!Read More »
Oof man y’all, this month has totally gotten away from me! Can y’all believe that we’re already 1/3 of the way done with June?! I’m just glad I’m finally getting this wrap up/TBR done and written haha
Let’s talk about May- I was overly ambitious in my goals and all of the books I checked out from the library and honestly, ever since I started my new job in mid April and I started going back to the gym more, I’ve been reading less and less, so I definitely didn’t read anywhere close to what I had planned/wanted to for May, but I also wasn’t going to stress myself out about reading more, so I’m actually very happy with what I did read!Read More »
Thank you so much to Disney-Hyperion and Netgalley for letting me read an eARC of Curse of the Specter Queen! I was never someone who watched Indiana Jones (my family was just never into them), but I love the idea of them, so the idea of a book set in the 20s in that style sounded super cool, so I was very excited to read it!

Happy May y’all! April went by so fast! It’s most likely because I got a new job and I’m trying to get used to a new company and new products and a new team and reading and blogging and working out and cooking and all of normal life on top of that is more stressful than I expected! Thankfully, I think I’m getting the hang of it, plus I really love my new job, so that’s always a plus! Also! One of my best friends from high school who I’ve been friends with since I was like 14 or 15, so 13 or 14 years now, got engaged in April and she asked me and my other best friend from high school to be her co-maids of honor and I’ve never done that before, but I’m the most excited! We’re working on bridesmaids dresses, centerpieces, dress shopping, and bachelorette party planning right now, so lots going on!
April was also an amazing month for me book wise! I read the most books! I read 21 books in April, which is the most I’ve read in a month yet! A lot of them were either ARCs or for blog tours, so I’ll have links for those for y’all. I really liked pretty much all of the books I read in April, so that was also a huge plus!Read More »
