Happy release day to Spark of Ash by Molly E. Lee! This is the third book in the Ember of Night series (and the final book in that series) and I thought it was a great ending to this trilogy. Thank you so much to Entangled Teen and Netgalley for letting me read an eARC of Spark of Ash!
Happy Tuesday y’all and happy release day to Starry-Eyed Love, the second book in the Spark House series by Helena Hunting! I went on a reading binge this weekend/yesterday, and I started reading Starry-Eyed Love yesterday morning and finished it before the evening was over (it would have been earlier, but, you know, work was a thing, so I had to focus on that during the day). Thank you so much to the team at St. Martin’s Griffin and Netgalley for letting me read an eARC of this book!
Happy Monday y’all! I’m trying really hard to work through my ARC backlist, so hopefully (fingers crossed) you’ll be seeing more posts from me in the near future, but we’ll see what ends up happening based on how busy my work days end up being! Plus, that wedding I’m in is next weekend, so next Thursday through Monday is almost pretty much a wash, but maybe if I pre-write enough posts, I’ll still be able to post some during then. Who knows, we’ll see what ends up happening.
Anyway! Onto the real important part of this post- my review of Wild and Wicked Things! Thank you so much to Redhook Books/Orbit for letting me read an eARC of this book! Wild and Wicked Things came out on March 29, so make sure you go grab it today if you’re interested!
Happy Tuesday y’all! And happy release day to A River Enchanted by Rebecca Ross! So many amazing books came out today and I had a really long list of ones I needed to read, but the only one I actually was able to read was A River Enchanted (and I started it yesterday evening after work and was done by the time I needed to go to bed, so that’s a sign of how much I really enjoyed this book). Thank you so much to Harper Voyager and Netgalley for letting me read this book! I definitely enjoyed the other books I’ve read by Rebecca Ross, so I was expecting to enjoy this one too, but just a heads up, it’s for sure darker than her YA books (which makes sense, since it is an adult fantasy).
Man y’all, I’m thinking through all of the 2021 review blogs I want to write and there are a lot of them, so I think I’m going to create a series for them- hopefully I’ll be done by the middle of February, but who knows how quickly I’ll be able to write them (and the middle of February is of course assuming I publish like one a week).
Happy Saturday y’all! I read my first Christmas book of the year (Duke, Actually), and y’all it was so cute! Thank you so much to Avon and Netgalley for letting me read an eARC of it! This book came out on November 16, so make sure you go grab it as soon as you’ve read my review!
Thank you so much to Atria Books and Netgalley for letting me read an eARC of The Inheritance of Orquídea Divina! I wasn’t sure what I was going to think about this book, because some of the reviews said that it was going to be literary fantasy or magical realism and I normally have a hard time getting fully sucked into those kinds of books (100% a me issue, not a those books issue) but I didn’t have that problem with this one at all!
Thank you so much to Orbit Books and Netgalley for letting me read an eARC of the Jasmine Throne by Tasha Suri! This month has been ridiculously busy, so even though this book came out on June 8th, I finally finished it last night and OMG it was sooooo good!!!
Thank you so much to Disney-Hyperion and Netgalley for letting me read an eARC of Curse of the Specter Queen! I was never someone who watched Indiana Jones (my family was just never into them), but I love the idea of them, so the idea of a book set in the 20s in that style sounded super cool, so I was very excited to read it!
Happy Friday y’all! I’m so excited about a long weekend! Wooo for more time for reading! I was supposed to have a pool day this weekend, but it’s supposed to rain most of the weekend and be in the 60s, so definitely not pool weather, but for sure reading weather! Speaking of reading, I was transported back to Valeria this week with Royal Trouble by Jennifer Bonds (thank you so much to Entangled Amara and Netgalley for letting me read an e-ARC of this book) and man y’all, I love Valeria and this royal family. (Also, side note, this is book two in a series- if you haven’t read book 1 yet, don’t read this review- read my review for book one, then read book one, and then come back here).
