Happy Sunday y’all! To all of my friends in the US, woohoo! It’s a long weekend! I’m definitely glad that I get an extra day off tomorrow because I have SO MANY books I need to read haha Speaking of books, today’s my stop on the Dark and Shallow Lies tour by TBR and Beyond Tours (sponsored by Razorbill, so thank you to both TBR and Beyond and Razorbill!) and y’all, I cannot wait to share this book with you!!! Dark and Shallow Lies comes out on September 7, so y’all definitely need to go out and pre-order or put in a request in your library or something ASAP (after reading my review)!
Happy Sunday y’all! Thank you so much to TBR and Beyond Tours for having me as a part of the Burden Falls tour and thank you so much to Dial books for young readers for sponsoring this tour! If y’all haven’t a) heard of this book or b) grabbed this book yet, definitely got on that (but first, read my review)!
Happy Friday y’all! Has this week felt incredibly long to anyone else, or is that just me? It feels like it’s been at least 2 weeks in one for sure! I’ve been trying to stay on top of my reading and reviewing, and overall, I feel like I’m doing alright in terms of the schedule I’ve set for myself, but man, things keep getting added to that schedule (and that’s 100% my fault because I keep signing up for more book tours and I keep requesting more books on Netgalley and I keep saying yes to publishers haha). Anyway, on to First Line Friday!
First Lines Fridays is a weekly feature for book lovers hosted by Wandering Words. What if instead of judging a book by its cover, its author or its prestige, we judged it by its opening lines?
Pick a book off your shelf (it could be your current read or on your TBR) and open to the first page
Copy the first few lines, but don’t give anything else about the book away just yet – you need to hook the reader first
Hey y’all! Happy Thursday! I hope everyone’s had a good week so far! It’s almost the weekend- woop woop! I don’t have too many plans for this weekend- I’m just planning on watching some TV, reading, maybe (hopefully) trying to workout some, and hanging out with the fam- but the TV and the reading is what’s inspiring this post! I’ve been re-watching Criminal Minds on Netflix these days (as one of the like 3 things I’m watching) and since I love Criminal Minds so much, I figured why not write about Criminal Minds and my favorite YA murder mysteries- anything by Karen M McManus! So what I’m thinking is that I’ll write about 2 character from Criminal Minds and then about one of Karen M McManus’ books and then I’ll do another 2 characters and then another book and then I’ll end with my last set of 2 characters and my last book (because, unfortunately I don’t have an ARC of the Cousins, I haven’t read it yet, so I’ve only read 3 of her books).
